the server network address cannot be reached .check the network address name and reissue the command (microsoft sql server error:1418)

I have added t1400 trace and  my tcp/ip is enabled in both ends .I have restored the db with (no recovery mode)

still i m getting error..

pls help me

can you ping from one server to another and vice versa?

what version of sql are you using?

what is the port the sql server is using? the default should be 1433 and it shouldn't be 0. Althought you have tcp/ip enabled, with the port set to 0 an error like this can occur.

I am able to ping from both the server

i am using sqlserver2005 enterprise edition

i have checked the port number in tcp/ip- it is 1433.

i think the problem may be in endpoint . how to proceed. Whether u encounter any problem in the endpoint creation or altering endpoint.
