Do you know any consultant on SQL server administration? I'm really surrender on the CPU & Memory usage by this system. It is making me crazy. We are solving one and then it comes with another problem.Unpredictable, never ending. It collapsed my whole web application. My Nightmare!!

May i Know how many Concurrent Connection of the SQL Server? and the Computer Hardware Specification?

because as i know, our Online Transaction system which using the MS SQL Server 2000/2005 can handle 100++ concurrrent connection do the Online transaction (similar like Credit card transaction) with a stable performance. transaction response time is about within 10 sec+-. This Testing is done at Technology Park Malaysia with a very high powerful Server.

Based on the trace, it goes up to 300++ concurrent users to the server.

The server is currently based in Cyberjaya server farm. The time out error becomes more serious after we moved to the server farm, which we were initially looking to solve the internet issues.

Can I email you my website url if you can provide me your email? The problem is very abnormal.

Computer : ACPI Multiprocessor PC (support up to 4 processor)

Disk Dirves : PERC LD 0 PERCRAID SCSI DIsk Device

Processort : Interl(R) Xeon CPU 3.20GHz, 

SCSI & RAID Controllers:DELL PERC 4e RAID Controller,

RAM:  3.19Ghz 6.00GB RAM (1GB each). Hardisk

Network Adapters: Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection

Disk Space : 300 GB : 20 GB for C, free space 2.55GB (windows 2003 server with sp2). 280GB for D:. All files included SQL database files are stored in D:

Btw, do you provide any consultant that can check for us?

hi there.... SQL server can create hell lot of problems if not configured accurately.... but if managed properly.. then its a beauty :)

i worked little bit SQL but have some bad experiences... i searched alot for the solution of my querries and came across lots of websites which provide really good assistance in solving problems... one website which was really helpful is www.oracleplace.com

do check out this website... try to figure-out your problem first and then start looking for answers.... i hope you turn out to be as lucky as me

   what version of sql server are you running? Also have you enabled AWE on your sql server as sql server has a 2Gb limit which can be overcome by enabling AWE. This is for both 2000 and 2005. 300+ concurrent users will require better disk I/O. having partition 300GB to C and D is not the recommended practice. You will need seperate physical partitioning and not logical partitioning. Also i would suggest you moving your tempdb onto a seperate physical drive as the tempdb can get used quite abit which will cause your I/O to bottleneck. let me know if you need anymore help.
